After spending most of her adult life as a writer and editor, she rediscovered the fun of making stuff. Marie finds nothing more thrilling than finding a beautiful old purse or piece of clothing in need of repair and matching it with re-purposed fabric, yarn, costume jewelry, buttons or whatever else turns up. Sometimes it takes months for her pull together the right elements, but it's always worth it. Marie loves creating a second life for something that was going to be thrown away. She finds it funny that what she does with clothes and accessories parallels her love for rescuing animals. Too many people think of pets as disposable items, when nothing could be further from the truth. Each dog and cat is a little treasure, waiting for the right person to open their heart.
